Privacy Policy

Who we are
ZeroFluff (zerofluff.in) is an independent smartphone recommendation tool for India. We score phones on real-world performance — thermals, battery, camera, and software support — and help you find the best option for your budget. We do not sell phones, manage advertising networks, or build user profiles for third parties.
What we collect and why
We only collect data that helps us understand whether the tool is actually useful. We never collect your name, email, phone number, or payment details.
Which pages you visit and in what order. Used to understand the recommendation flow and drop-off points.

Budget range, usage type, and ecosystem preference you select. Used to improve recommendation accuracy. Input fields are masked in session recordings.

Which phone and which store (Amazon/Flipkart) you clicked through to. Used to measure which recommendations are acted on.

A replay of your mouse movements and clicks on the page. Text you type is never recorded. Used to spot UX friction.

Third-party tools
The following tools process data on our behalf under their own data processing agreements:
PostHog, GA4, and Clarity are only initialised after you give consent. Vercel Analytics is always active and processes no personal data.
How long we keep data
Analytics events are retained for 12 months in PostHog and GA4, after which they are automatically deleted. Session recordings in PostHog are retained for 3 months. Clarity retains recordings for 30 days. Vercel Analytics retains aggregate data for 30 days. No data is sold or shared beyond the tools listed above.
Cookies and local storage
We store one item in your browser’s localStorage before any consent decision is made:
"granted" or "denied"). Never sent to any server.PostHog also sets its own cookies under ph_prefixed keys after consent is granted. These are used for session continuity and are covered by PostHog’s own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act 2023 (India) and GDPR (EU), you have the right to access, correct, and erase your data. Since we do not collect names or emails, we cannot identify your data by identity — but you can:
- Withdraw analytics consent at any time using the button below — this stops all future data collection immediately.
- Request deletion of any data tied to your PostHog distinct ID by emailing us at the address below.
- Opt out of GA4 across the web using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Opt out of Clarity via Microsoft's privacy dashboard.
